Terminology

Guest: a person who is staying at huisalfons and is registered as such.

Main Guest: the person who has booked huisalfons. The main guest must be over 18 years of age and is responsible for his/her fellow guests.

Manager: the person who, as owner of huisalfons, or on behalf of the owner of huisalfons, manages huisalfons.

Third paries: any other legal person who is not a guest, manager or owner.

Reservation: a confirmation by huisalfons of a stay registered by the guest.

Definitive Reservation: A reservation for which a total cost of the stay has been deposited into the KBC account of huisalfons.

Cancellation: The revocation or cancellation of the final reservation within the applicable time limit.

huisalfons

1.1 huisalfons is described in the website www.huisalfons.be. This website has been composed with the greatest care but there may be differences between the text and/or photos presented on the website and the actual situation at the location at the time of the visit by the guest(s). No rights can be derived by the guests from such differences.

1.2 The minimum stay in huisalfons is one night.

1.3 huisalfons is accessible 24 hours a day.

1.4 Rest periods are from 22.00 hours to 07.00 hours.

1.5 Smoking is not allowed in the rooms or in the common areas or anywhere else indoors.

1.6 Pets are not allowed.

1.7 The rooms are suitable for two persons.

1.8 Check-in from 2 pm, check-out at 11 am.

2. Rates

2.1 The rates include gas, water, electricity, heating and VAT. The rates do not include tourist tax.

2.2 The rates do not include costs of cancellation and/or travel insurance and/or other costs.

2.3. Rates of the huisalfons are always without obligation and are subject to interim changes.

2.4 All entries on the website of huisalfons (www.huisalfons.be) are considered to have been provided in good faith and are always subject to interim adjustments. huisalfons is not bound to obvious errors on its website.

3. Reservation and Payment

3.1 After the reservation via the contact form has been confirmed by huisalfons, the main guest must pay the total cost of the stay to the account of huisalfons.

3.2 The reservation is only final when it has been paid. Once the reservation is final you will receive a confirmation by huisalfons.

3.3 The total cost of the stay must be transferred to: account number BE in the name of huisalfons, stating the date of the stay.

3.4 The Main Guest is requested to pay any outstanding amount on arrival. This can only be done in cash. The B&B does not accept credit cards.

4. Cancellation

4.1 In case of cancellation at least 7 days prior to the earliest arrival time (14.00 hours) on the reported arrival date, the amount already paid will be fully refunded.

4.2 If canceled less than 7 days before arrival (14.00 hours), no amount will be returned.

4.3 To be eligible for a refund of the amount already paid under 4.2, the cancellation must be made in writing (by e-mail or by post) to huisalfons to be passed.

4.4 huisalfons has the right at all times more than 48 hours prior to the earliest time of arrival (14.00 hours) of the reported arrival date to withdraw the final reservation without giving any reason and refund the amount already paid to the main guest.

5. Damage

5.1 The guest must behave properly and use the huisalfons accommodation in accordance with the reasonable instructions given by huisalfons.

5.2 The main guest is legally liable for any damage caused by him or his fellow guests to the huisalfons accommodation or its contents.

5.3 The guest must immediately report any damage to the owner or manager. Repair and/or replacement costs must be reimbursed by the guest immediately to the manager on his first request.

6. Complaints

6.1 The guest is always entitled to submit his complaints to huisalfons by means of a complaint. huisalfons must always handle a complaint adequately and expeditiously, so that the complaint is dealt with according to standards of reasonableness and fairness.

7. Force majeure

7.1 In case of force majeure, both of a permanent and temporary nature, huisalfons has the right to dissolve or temporarily suspend the agreement in whole or in part without the guest being able to claim performance and/or compensation. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: war danger, war, insurrection, molestation, strikes, boycotts, energy circuit disturbances, traffic or transport, government measures, scarcity of raw materials, natural disasters and further all circumstances, extraordinary weather conditions, illness of the owners or death of one of the owners or close family members etc. under which full or partial compliance with the agreement can not reasonably and fairly be demanded from huisalfons.

8. Liability

8.1 huisalfons cannot be held liable for damage suffered by the guest or third parties as a result of the stay in the accommodation; the guest indemnifies huisalfons against claims in this respect. huisalfons is not liable for breakdowns in and around the accommodation such as breakdowns and failure of electricity and water supplies and technical installations, unannounced or prematurely announced construction and / or road works in the vicinity of huisalfons.

8.2 huisalfons can only be held liable for damage that is due to the gross negligence or the negligence of huisalfons.

8.3 Without prejudice to the provisions of 8.1 and 8.2, the liability of huisalfons, if and insofar as huisalfons is held legally liable for any reason relating to the user agreement, is always limited to direct damage and any form of consequential damage is excluded. The liability of huisalfons is furthermore always limited to the maximum amount that the insurer of huisalfons will pay out in such a case.

9. Privacy

9.1 huisalfons will treat all personal information provided or made known to her confidentially and will not freely make it available to third parties.

Final provision

10.1 Unless otherwise stipulated in rules of private international law, the present conditions are exclusively governed by Belgian law. Non-Belgian guests are deemed to agree to the general terms and conditions.

10.2 All disputes arising from the user agreement or these conditions will be settled in the first instance by the competent court in Belgium, unless the rules of private international law provide otherwise.

10.3 Neither party can transfer its rights and obligations to third parties unless otherwise provided in these conditions.

10.4 If and insofar as any provision in the user agreement and the present conditions should prove to be null and void, the remaining conditions shall remain in force and the null and void article shall be deemed to have been converted in such a way as to be in accordance with the parties’ apparent intentions.
